Wu Tsang X Cloud Castle

* CARMEN IN THE MOUNTAINS * an intimate sonic offering initiated by wu tsang in collaboration with enrique fuenteblanca and ,moved by the motion’ – inspired by the swiss mountain landscape and bizet’s opera.

I actually love being inbetween.

WU TSANG award-wining artist, performer and filmmaker
explores the idea of in-betweeness, the world beyond binary

There was no more than five minutes to capture the portrait of Wu Tsang. I swiftly surveyed the space and found a niche between the inside and outside. Natural light filtered through a window. On the other side, a wooden wall enhanced the warmth of the space. Wu Tsang too was fond of the frame, and we picked up this beautiful periphery, in between.

Pure joy to immerse myself in
emotions spaces movements soundscapes… – without my camera.

CLOUD CASTLE is a an innovative platform for experimental art and performance in an imaginary space by symbolising the idea of a procedural, immaterial space to experience art in its most ephemera, transient form. Every year one artist is invited to create a unique, ephemeral work of art. These works do not leave any material traces, but rather have a fleeting effect on reality.

The first project took place in a castle in the air, at klanghaus toggenburg made to sound for the first time – a cloud castle that will never exist again.
It will find another place, another form.
Ephemeral, yet resonant.

By embarking on this joint project @kunsthausbregenz @kunstmuseum_liechtenstein @kunstmuseumsg @buendnerkunstmuseum are forging a new path. The process of doing so itself represents a living experiment, as well as of creating a place where artistic ideas can flow and develop freely.
